Current Priority Issues
UULMNJ developed an Issues Priority Survey to elicit input from NJ's 21 UU congregations to help the network prioritize which issues would be the focus of our efforts for the next two years. More than 500 responses were received, and when the results were compiled the following issues received the strongest overall support: Economic Justice, the Environment, and Health Care. Other issues will overlap with the selected issues, and may also be addressed.
Task forces have established for UULMNJ’s three priority issues, as well as one for emerging issues, covering Immigration Reform and Marriage Equality. These groups are convening “meetings” via e-mail and conference calls to define positions, develop strategies, and identify actions for the near future.
