The New Jersey legislature site has a quick and simple page describing the process of a bill becoming law.
For kids, "Bill" will explain the process to them.

The New Jersey Legislature offers a Bill Subscription Service that allows you to create and maintain a list of bills that you wish to track throughout the legislative session. As a subscriber, you can retrieve the latest information for the bills on your list, and you will be notified of any legislative action taken on the bill after a legislative session. There is no charge to sign up for this service.
The New Jersey Legislature's website also includes Teacher Resources and State House Visitor Information and History. |
